Here I am with the handsome Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark in the Sydney Opera House on Monday, March 7th. I was nervous and excited beyond belief. The Crown Prince has appointed me as one of five Australian Hans Christian Andersen ambassadors to mark the 200th anniversary of Denmark’s famous teller of tales. The other ambassadors are Cathy Freeman, Bryce Courtney, Andrew Denton and Geoffrey Rush. I met Crown Princess Mary too, and we chatted about ironing and not ironing; and about weight loss; and about the weather in Tasmania. They are a gorgeous couple. It was a marvellous day. As you see, I was tickled pink!
